Those mornings when you oversleep or was just simply too lazy to get up and get ready and hour ago (even if limited with time!) scrambling around your just-cleaned bedroom to find an outfit for the day having absolutely no idea what to wear while looking like you took the time and effort to dress up- Coming to your rescue with some of my favorite go-to looks when in a rush or just struggling when trying to find the outfit!
Let's dive into it!
Look #1: Sweater and Midi Skirt
I had recently been obsessing over midi skirts lately, and I personally think they're the perfect go-to piece out there! I paired the skirt with a furry crop top sweater and red patent pumps. Appropriate and super cute for any outing!
Look #2: Oversized Cardigan and Accessories
Oversized everything is always my favorite. I prefer my cardigans and sweaters larger than my actual sizing because I love that baggy, slouchy effect it has- especially in cardigans. Oversized/batwing cardigans are my favorite types of light outerwear. I love pairing my cardigan with flowy tops and my favorite jeans. From there, I love to accessorize like crazy as it balances out with the oversized cardigan as a clothing statement. Then throw on my favorite chunky booties!
Look #3: Turtleneck and Skater Skirt
You could never go wrong with skater skirts. I like to pair my skater skirt with any crop top long sleeve (long sleeve > short sleeve because I live in Seattle) and throw on some slip-ons. To accessorize, a quirky headband and a crossbody bag. Very girly and comfy!
Look #4: Jacket and Skirt
You guys already know how much I cannot emphasize enough how easy it is to dress up by finding some kind of statement. Statement, statement, statement. You heard it all before. Start off by putting on a printed or textured skirt and pairing it with a top and jacket that color (or print) coordinates with the skirt. To top it off, throw on your fave booties (specifically ones with a pop of color).
Look #5: Minimal with pops of color
For me, I still find it risky and rather hard mixing totally different colors and prints together. But it's actually about how you coordinate and place it. For this outfit, I kept it typical with the white top and black skirt and from there, paired it with the essentials- which in this case are the pops of colors. I find pastel colors work really well together as they're not as mixed solid and bold colors making it overwhelming to the outfit.
Look #6: Sweater Dress and Booties
This is probably the easiest and my favorite SERIOUS go-to look. I love putting on a thick, oversized sweater dress and pairing it with some chunky booties. When it comes to accessorizing, I like to wear handbags that have a poppy, solid, bold color if my dress is a neutral solid color (black, white, grey, brown, taupe) Otherwise, if my dress is a non-neutral colored, or printed dress, I like to wear bags that color or print coordinate with my dress.
Look #7: Jacket and Pants
You could never go wrong with a fur coat and printed jeans! Balancing out is an important thing to remember when dressing up. Looking disproportionate one section of the outfit than another can really be a wtf moment. What I like to do to stay proportionate with my outfit is to choose a statement (there I go with statement again) jacket and bottom (1 & 4) while keeping my top and shoes simple. From there, if I feel I need more to add to my look, I go in with some accessories such as bracelets and/or a statement necklace.
I hope you guys enjoyed my favorite 5 minute outfits and found it useful!
What's your go-to look?
